Indonesian language learning focuses on writing, reading, and understanding every word. Students can write words from the books they read if they know a lot of vocabulary and can make their own sentences. However, this is not comparable to the learning outcomes of students who are still under the KKM. The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes in the Indonesian language class 1 SD Fastabiqul Khairat Samarinda. This study uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) using flashcards media. On the initial test, the average score of 61, eight out of 25 students at the pre-cycle stage (32%) achieved a higher score than KKM. As many as 14 students (56%) achieved scores above the KKM. After the researchers implemented learning improve ments in Cycle I, the results were scored with an average of 72. Then learning outcomes increased in Cycle II, with an average score of 79 achieved by 21 students or 84 percent who scored above the KKM. The findings show that the use of flashcards can improve student learning outcomes in Grade 1 Indonesian at SD Fastabiqul Khairat.
